þ7# MM))))) 3 ===== ®]]]®S]Q  MINUTES ARE NOT OFFICIAL UNTIL APPROVED AT THE NEXT MEETING Town of Frankfort Plan Commission 4/15/08 Minutes The Town of Frankfort Plan Commission held its 40th meeting April 15, 2008. Commission Chairwoman Maureen Manore called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. Present were Manore; vice chairwoman Becky Gates; secretary Bryce Black; and commission members Donna Gates, Brian Bee, and Denny Wentworth. Member Mike Roberts was absent (excused). Alternate Denny Richardson sat in for him. Also absent were alternates Sally Baecker and Curt Stine. 1. Minutes from previous meeting Black read the minutes from the March plan commission meeting. Bee moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded by Wentworth and approved unanimously. 2. Citizen concerns Wentworth asked whether our plan could address the possible expansion of neighboring rock quarries. Non-metallic mining is regulated by the Wisconsin DNR. Would our community have any authority to impose further or more stringent regulation through zoning? We should look into what level of regulation local municipalities can exercise. 4. Discuss Goals and Objectives We discussed the goals and objectives for Chapter 7, Utilities and Community Facilities, and Chapter 8, Agricultural, Natural, and Cultural Resources. There were a few changes suggested, which Manore will incorporate into the next draft. 5. Upcoming meetings/events The regular monthly Town board meeting is scheduled for 6/13/08 at 8 PM. The Board of Review is set for 6/14/08. The next Plan Commisssion meeting will be 5/6/08 at 7:30 p.m. The agenda will include discussion of the goals and objectives for Chapter 9, Economic Development, and Chapter 10, Intergovernmental Cooperation, as well as the entire Chapter 12, Implementation. The Pepin County 4-H Fair will be July 21, 22 & 23. The Town of Frankfort Sesquicentennial Celebration will be Saturday, 7/26/08. 6. Adjournment Wentworth moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Richardson. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
